After Sylvan John worked at a pair of promising kiosk companies that provided customers with essentially the Internet experience before the Internet. The second company morphed into one of the online music retail sites in 1995. Since that launch, John worked in eCommerce and online Marketing for the past 12 years at large companies like Dell where he led the team responsible for designing, developing, deploying and managing Dell.com. Howard Rosenberg, M.D.

Plastic Surgeon

“I was in my teens when I decided I wanted to become a physician and was initially drawn to cardiac surgery. I was introduced to plastic surgery when I was interning at UCLA and remember being immediately struck by how passionate the other surgeons were about this specialty. It piqued my interests and the more I explored my options, the more convinced I became that plastic surgery was to become my area of expertise.

“This is a very creative field and I love the fact that it is primarily elective – patients come to you not because they have to but because they want to make a positive change. It’s very rewarding to see the gratitude in someone’s eyes when you’ve been able to fulfill their expectations and improve their self-image.

“I enjoy my profession and am very proud to have built a practice that is well-received and respected within the community. But what gives my life meaning is the relationship I have with my wife and my three wonderful children. I’ve been married for 40 years and have managed to raise two physicians and a lawyer – I do consider that to be my greatest accomplishment.”
